December 2012 our US entry permit came to an end so we placed our RV and Chevy into storage near Palm Springs and flew back to Melbourne, Australia. We stayed with my sister and B-I-L, Lyn & Ian, in Sale.

We saw the New Year in an old woodshed which had been decked out to entertain by friends of Lyn & Ian.
From there we drove to Queensland and stayed with friends Nick, Cathy and Sammy at Broadbeach Waters.
We then moved on to Murphy's Creek to attended a combined off-road caravan gathering (namely Bushtracker, Kedron and Spinifex) and met up with some old friends.
From there back to Brindale, Brisbane and stayed with Gary and Max (pictured above).
Heading south through NSW we turned in to Laurieton.
We stayed with some Bushtracker owners Todd & Sally and Bryn & Theresa, we had met in 2011 at Bingara.
A friendly kookaburra joined me as I took some pictures.
The trip was not without annoyances. Here this tyre looked like it was about to give birth. I had 3 blowouts in total.
We extended our Australian stay to attend the marriage of my niece Carolyn to Paul at the Portsea Hotel.
