Funny story. We met a dutch couple at Coober Pedy, Robin and Paul.
They spent some time in Melbourne in a homestay before buying a Pajero and travelling to the outback.
Unfortunately whilst in Melbourne they watched the Ivan Milat documentry and "Wolf Creek".
They were terribly scared by the time we met them and they wanted to travel with us.
Paul wanted a "bon fire" so I asked them to help gather firewood.
Robin was impressed when I got my "manly thing" out and started cutting firewood.
The fire and camp oven attracted a few French travellers.
Pizza night.
We were visited by a French/Tunisian family.
We gave the 2 girls some marshmellows to toast.
Amazingly enough the family, husband, wife and 2 children were travelling and sleeping in a small station wagon.

Can you see the wild camels in this panorama?
Ayers Rock
(Uluru)
The long climb up.
Chris and I took our chairs and a bottle of bubbly up to a vantage point near Yulara.
Our solitude was interupted with a group of people arriving, followed by a film crew.
We were talking to a lady for some time when I heard someone say "that's Lindy"
Click! I said to her are you Lindy Chamberlain? She explained how they were doing a 30 year documentary after Azaria's death.
We chatted for some time talking about the old days at the rock.
What a coo. To meet Lindy at Ayres Rock.
Lindy Chamberlain and Chris.
The changing colours of the rock.
The next day we were walking along a path to the rock and we ran into the film crew and Lindy again. (Bottom right of picture above)
I said to Chris "lets not disturb them, take a wide birth"
Lindy spotted us and called us over. She introduced us to her husband and 2 sons.

Anyone who has travelled the outback deserts will have seen these before.
Unfortunately you can't eat them.
Some of the remarkable flora.
