Warren Gorge

Warren Gorge is one of those pleasent suprises we sometimes get when travelling.
In the middle of nowhere it is this delightful camping area.
Plenty of level sites amongst shady trees. There are some lovely walks around the gorge.
Be prepared. There are few facilities and little water.

The road into the gorge.

Some interesting signs.

Our first camp, high on a hill.

The gorge from our camp.

A scene reminiscent of an alpine vista.

Incredible rock formations.

The beautifully coloured Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby.

We spent 10 days down in Port Augusta and came back to the gorge to find 8 Bushtrackers had moved in.
They had been to the Birdsville races.

Happy hour.

Great camping spot except for the giant ants.
Jeff and Viv.

We do believe David here qualifies for a "Poor Dumb Bastards" award
for moving the van with the jockey wheel down.

The gathering of wood.

David and Les tending the campfire.

A cooked Breakfast.

Linda, all kitted up for a daily walk.
